Sukkot – the happiest Jewish holiday, lasts seven days. Throughout the week of the holiday, the Sukkah becomes the abode of the Jews.. The most important commandment of the Torah on the holiday of Sukkot, is the command “…take for yourself on the first day of the holiday the fruit of a magnificent tree, palm branches and shoots of leafy trees and river willows…” (Vaikra's book). The commandment netilat-lulav was carried out by members of the Jewish community at the Sukkot holiday in the Kamyanets-Podolsk representative office “Hesed Besht” – 05.10.2017 of the year. Many kind people helped us in holding this holiday: Zhytomyr religious community, American Distribution Committee Joint, a member of the Jewish community Anatoly Glozman treated us to grapes from his garden.
A benevolent and sincere atmosphere reigned at the holiday.
