27 January, all progressive humanity celebrates International Holocaust Remembrance Day, implemented by a decision of the UN General Assembly on 1 November 2005 year. On this very day, prisoners of Auschwitz-Birkenau's largest Nazi death camp in Auschwitz were released.
During the Second World War, any aid to the Jews was punished by death in the occupied territories of Germany.. Nevertheless, there were those, who dared to help, risking their own lives. This confirms the list of persons, awarded the "Righteous People of the World" medals. The list also includes the name of Irene Sandler's polka.
About a heroic Polish woman and about hundreds of Ukrainians, that saved whole Jewish families - people with a huge heart, as well as the horrific events of World War II, that went down in history called the Holocaust, we talked to the kids - students of the third class of Yarmolynetsk Scientific-Production Complex # 1. The awareness of the children and their perception of rather difficult information impressed. There was a lot of preparatory work here, conducted by teacher Yuliya Stanislavovna Hoptiar. In the Lesson of Memory attended by the junior class teacher Krulik Caesar and a historian by profession, assistant professor of senior classes Fedorovich Larisa Nikolaevna, which shared memories of Yarmolyntsi of those times, when the town could still be called Jewish.
Our story, the mobile show and the video were extremely impressed by the little listeners. The youngest generation after us will remain the bearer of true memory of the Holocaust tragedy. And we have to talk about it. For that, so that such disasters are never repeated with any people.
