At the Khmelnytskyi Charitable Foundation "Hesed Besht" the representative office of the global women's organization "Project Kesher" works fruitfully. The organization's projects and actions are widely known in the city and region, aimed at protecting women's rights, increasing the legal literacy of the beautiful half of humanity, taking care of the body's condition through the project "Women's Health. Prevention of breast and cervical cancer" and much more. "16 days without violence" – another action, which took place in our city thanks to the "Kesher Project".
Information activities among women are conducted with the aim of improving their legal knowledge, awakening of the forces of the representatives of the weaker sex against tyranny and aggression on the part of men. Unfortunately, very often it is the man who causes the most problems: hormones, complexes, false or archaic views of the relationship between the two sexes turn men into tyrants. But loving, weak and delicate women cannot always fight back. A darma, because as a Law, and the activity of public organizations is hard to tame even the most jealous man. And the main thing here is the desire of the woman herself.
The global action "16 days against violence" aims to draw public attention to women's problems. After all, violence is not only physical, but also moral, economic and many other subspecies of this negative social phenomenon. The head of the Kesher Project in the Khmelnytskyi region, Iryna Gerasymenyuk, and the activist of the Kesher Project Women's Group, Tamara Kitsak, held relevant actions every year, meetings with women, lectures and events, which fit into the context of the idea of combating violence against women. And girls from the youth wing of the "Kesher Hadash" organization, led by Olga Nikitina, joined this year's campaign.
The action included several propaganda measures. The activity "This hand will never strike" was about men. Everyone could take part in outlining their palm on sheets of paper. The handprint could then be signed with one's own name, to be a role model for others. "A woman is like a fragile flower - don't spoil her with your attitude!» – it's another slogan, no less creative event. Lectures for girls and women on combating violence were held in the visual arts studio of the "Thia" OC, while their participants made paper flowers with candies inside. The combination of pleasant and useful gave a good result: "Kesher Hadash" activists simply handed out kivts made by women to male passers-by in the very center of our city, drawing their attention to the issues of eradicating violence against women. We believe, that those, who received a flower with candy, never hurt any woman, remembering this unusual promotion.
The artist Yuliya Chervenyuk also joined "16 days without violence"., the exhibition of which is held at the "Thiya" Center. The craftswoman's works directly reflect the beauty and fragility of a woman.
