Sholem Aleichem translates from Yiddish as “Peace be to you!». With this kind and sincere Jewish greetings, for many decades now, writer Sholom Rabinovich has been a part of human habitation. He did not accidentally choose this nickname, for good and mercy, combined in these words, warm the human soul. It is about goodness and mercy – eternal values, needed in every home, – is told in the works of Sholom – Aleichem: – Mott Boy, Tevye is a milkman, "Song Over Songs", "Wandering Stars" and others.
17 May in Hesed Besht's Starokostiantyniv Representative Office was held to commemorate the outstanding Jewish writer Sholem Aleichem on the 100th anniversary of his death. The fund's clients participated in the event. The meeting participants were acquainted with the biography of the writer, watched a video about his work and actively participated in an open reading of the work "Boy Motl".
Everyone could see and feel, that creativity is a helmet – Aleichem is diverse and multifaceted. Each generation perceives its characters in its own way and draws its own conclusions. Therefore, the writer's works give impetus to his own creative pursuits, after all, «For the treasures of culture everyone goes alone and takes so much, how much can it take ».
